What's new:

12.19.08 Between the Lines ~ I've started blogging!  This blog is aimed at writers or anyone curious about all the different aspects of writing stories.  If you are a fiction writer (any genre) stop by to find out how you can get a FREE CRITIQUE from an award winning, multi-published author -- me.

12.19.08  I'm on Facebook and Goodreads, too. ~ I'm on both as Laurin Wittig. Please drop by and "friend" me!

12.09.08 Kindle edition! ~ The Devil of Kilmartin is available in Amazon's Kindle format.  Charming the Shrew and Daring the Highlander aren't yet.  Please stop by those pages at Amazon and request they both be made available in Kindle format!

12.19.08 Jeannie Gray Golden Friendship Award
The 6th annual award is now underway.  If you are an unpublished romance writer who has entered the 2009 Golden Heart contest please check out the simple and FREE contest that could help defray the cost of your GH entry to the tune of $100.  Click on the link above or the two hearts in the right hand column and get all the skinny on this great way to help you on your road to writing success.

12.19.08 NaNoWriMo ~  The fun is over for another year.  I didn't do so well this year -- about 13K words I think, but my excuse was that I got distracted by the election and didn't get started until a week into the month.  On the other hand, I've got the beginnings of a new book to work with once the holidays are behind us.  If you've ever thought of writing a novel (and who hasn't?) this might be the thing to get you out of the "someday I'll write a novel" way of thinking and into the fabulous creative state that is actually writing that book. Check out the National Novel Writing Month web site for more information about writing in general and NaNoWriMo specifically.

Can you read Russian?

Charming the Shrew was released in Germany in December, 2007. Now it's been released in Russia!  I have to take the translation and the proper spelling of my name on faith since I don't read a word of Russian.

If you want to read Charming the Shrew
in English it's available through most on-line book sellers!

"Wittig truly captures the essence of the Scots -- their deep passion for freedom and justice, love of their homeland and fierce pride -- in her remarkable characters and their colorful, historically accurate, highly romantic love story.  She's well on her way to becoming one of the genres finest story tellers."
